As an Accountant, you will perform various accounting assignments requiring knowledge of operations, Company policy and accounting theory. Includes coordinating, preparing, and analyzing financial information and reports that provide summary information for managements use in making Company financial decisions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prepare, update, and submit payroll, prepare, and post related accounting entries to the general ledger.
  • Records routine or recurring transactions.
  • Reconciles accounts and prepares various daily, monthly, quarterly, or annual financial/ cost reports and statements for various customers.
  • Assists co-workers and cross functional departments with investigation of transaction and prepares correcting entries as needed to correct financial entries, documents, and reports.
  • Gathers, reviews, and analyzes statistical and financial information.
  • Installs, modifies, documents, and coordinates implementation of accounting systems and accounting control procedures.
  • Collects appropriate data and prepares federal, state, and local reports and tax returns.
  • Modifies and updates procedures as necessary.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or four to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior experience in Manufacturing is requirement for this position.

Language Ability:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Math Ability:

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistics. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software; Accounting software; Payroll systems; Manufacturing software and Database software.
