The assistant position requires compliance with all operational duties detailed by the Store Manager in the store, giving more attention to front-end and sales floor tasks. Furthermore, helping with staff recruitment, education, and advancement is also essential

The job involves managing and directing staff members, providing coaching and feedback to improve performance, and promoting a culture of continuous learning and development:

  • Work closely with the Store Manager to improve overall store performance and efficiency
  • Efficient in managing all beginning and ending actions in the absence of the Store Manager
  • Provide assistance to the store manager in protecting all company assets, such as the store's cash reserves
  • It is essential to follow all the established rules and guidelines, including the safety policies, to promote safety and security in the workplace
  • Uphold a courteous and professional demeanor when interacting with all individuals in the workplace
  • Make certain that the store is kept in pristine condition, in adherence with the organization's standards, including the restoration of any products
  • When the Store Manager is off-duty, an alternative person assumes the role of directly supervising all hourly Associates
  • Ensure that all Pull and Hold/Destroy notices, Task Compliance instructions, and Key Survey responses are properly documented and archived for future reference
  • As part of their duties, the Assistant Manager will assist the Store Manager in communicating store-related activities, such as requests and directives
  • Assist the Retail Manager in handling the intake and return of products that are delivered directly to the store.
  • Proper execution of the VIP and DSD policies and procedures can help maintain a healthy and productive work environment
  • Follow up on employee coverage to ensure proper staffing levels are maintained throughout the day
  • Support the store manager to guarantee that the sales floor is successfully generating sales each day
  • Provide assistance to the team responsible for managing all cashiering activities to maintain the integrity of the company's financial records through observance of approved cash handling practices and guidelines
  • Store-front fixtures and displays: A key feature in product promotion
  • Offer assistance in optimizing sales operations in seasonal areas of the store
  • Deploying the right signs to attract and engage customers
  • Making DSD Merchandise Receipt and Returns User-Friendly
  • The damaged items are managed on a regular basis
  • Work in partnership with the Store Manager to design weekly staffing schedules
  • Provide assistance in handling store inventory and monitoring expenses
  • Encourage customers to make additional purchases by offering complementary products or bundles near the checkout area
  • Consistent refilling of coolers and store-front program racks/displays with important items, such as balloon program, sunglasses, batteries, etc., is essential to meet the customers' needs
  • Participate in managing the Drive Item undertaking

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Candidates with retail and management experience are favored
  • Impressive competency in exchanging information, building interpersonal connections, and writing skills
  • Equipped with the necessary physical strength to carry and transport merchandise weighing up to 50lbs in a swift and seamless manner
  • Displaying the capability to work collaboratively in a team that functions with great energy
