The position demands supporting the Store Manager in the implementation of operational tasks within the store and giving particular emphasis to front-end and sales floor duties. Additionally, providing assistance with recruitment, training, and professional development of the store employees is also required
The role requires strong communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas and information to a variety of audiences:
- Provide support to the Store Manager by assisting with inventory management and stock control
- Resourceful in performing all opening and closing procedures without the supervision of the Store Manager
- Cooperate with the store manager to keep all business assets protected and secured, with a particular focus on the store's cash
- It is crucial to comply with all the established standards and procedures, especially the safety guidelines, to guarantee the safety of everyone in the workplace
- Maintain a friendly and professional environment for customers, subordinates, and supervisors to help ingrain company values and standards
- Abide by the company's procedures for maintaining all regions of the store, including the stockroom and sales floor, which includes refreshing all items on display
- The responsibility of supervising hourly Associates is delegated to another individual in the absence of the Store Manager
- Follow the established process for handling SSC Corporate directives, including Pull and Hold/Destroy notices, Task Compliance instructions, and Key Survey information
- Communications related to store operations, including requests, may be delegated to the Assistant Manager by the Store Manager
- Support the Store Supervisor in managing the acknowledgement and compensation of goods that are directly delivered to the store.
- Staying up to date with the latest VIP and DSD guidelines and protocols is essential to ensure continuous adherence to compliance standards
- Collaborate with the Store Manager to develop a staffing plan that will ensure coverage during peak hours
- Collaborate with the store manager to ensure that the sales area is efficiently creating sales every day
- Assist in the supervision of cashiering activities by ensuring that all associates comply with company policies and guidelines when carrying out cash-related transactions
- Utilizing store-front fixtures and displays to maximize the impact of product promotion
- Support seasonal sales productivity through effective management
- Picking out relevant messages and graphics for in-store signage
- Clearing the Confusion from DSD Product Receipt and Returns
- Every day, the staff takes care of spoiled inventory
- Aide the Store Manager in generating weekly employee schedules
- Help to maintain a proper balance of store supplies and expenses
- Reduce customer wait time by streamlining checkout processes and maintaining efficient cashier operations
- Daily restocking of coolers and store-front program racks/displays with necessary items like balloon program, sunglasses, batteries, etc. is crucial to avoid disappointing customers and provide exceptional service
- Chip in with the direction of the Drive Item campaign
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- A background in retail and management is advantageous
- Robust communication, interpersonal and writing expertise
- Demonstrates the capability to transport, lift, and shift products that weigh up to 50lbs with little to no physical strain
- Demonstrating the aptitude to work successfully in a team that operates in a dynamic environment
